Easy Cat Secrets by Liz Barton Review by Sarah Murdoch

The order page for Easy Cat Secrets by Liz Barton makes some claims that would make any reader skeptical. The page assures readers that the author "reveals powerful strategies that transformed antisocial “wild cats” into lovable housecats in less than 13 days."

Obviously, it is an order page and has to promote its product, but would this eBook* in any way live up to such claims?

(An eBook is not a physical product, rather it is information you can download and store on your computer, and then either print out or read on your computer.)

I had read independent recommendations of this product already, so I decided to get out the credit card and download my own copy to evaluate.

The book begings by going to great lengths to illustrate that cats are trainable, despite the common misconception getting a cat to do something requires nothing short of a miracle. The author emphasizes the fact that cats are naturally intelligent animals and all that is required for them to learn is a knowledge of the proper teaching methods.

Want to train your cat to use the toilet instead of the litter box? Many folks train their felines to do this and Paula explains (and shows with a series of drawings) the correct way to do it. The author also explains why you might want to do this and some reasons why you might not wish to do so.

Easy Cat Secrets comes with a guide to cat breeds, but I was not sure why. Most people who download this book because they are interested in quickly training their cat. The section isn't particularly thorough, it spotlights about a dozen of the more popular cat breeds with well written but rather limited information. It does have some nice pictures though.

But why the author thinks this excellent book on cat obedience training need a section on cat breeds is lost on me. Then again, I suppose that any instructional book will contain sections that are of less interest than others, and the section does not detract from the training information.

“The information and techniques set out in Easy Cat Secrets should be easy for you to use regardless of your cat's breed or age.”

Do you want to know how to stop your cat's aggression to other people or animals? Do you want to stop your cat from jumping on the dinner table or on to the couch, marking its territory, chewing the curtains, biting, scratching (people or furniture,) howling, eating items around the house, and many other behaviors that you would rather your cat did not do? Then this book can definitely tell you how, and it is written in a way that is easy to follow and absorb, often using stories that are actually fun to read.

One of my favorite parts of Easy Cat Secrets is when Liz shows how to teach cats tricks or behaviors that are usually thought of as "dog-only." Things like having your cat come when its name is called, obeying commands to sit or stay, even behaving while on a leash are explained.

You can even teach your feline friend to do many entertaining but less useful things like shake hands, wave, and open doors. The last one may be cute, but you will want to consider whether you want to give your cat such power while you are out of the house!

Especially useful to me was the section explaining how to make a cat more comfortable around new people. Everyone loves a friendly cat, and it's very nice to have a cat that also loves people.

Ebooks usually come with a tempting bonus or more and Easy Cat Secrets follows that tradition by including 3 gifts. The first is a guide to feline nutrition which is definitely a nice guide to have. The information is concise and the benefits of knowing how to give a cat proper nutrition can be good for both cat and owner. Besides improving your little friend's health and setting him or her up for a long life, it can also help keep them happy, and in turn, yourself.

The second book is all about kittens, from picking the best one for you, to how to "kitten-proof" your home and pick the right toys, all the way to how to prepare them to become happy and healthy adults. The author claims that the kitten will be better behaved than your friends' adult cats!

The third gift is a mystery bonus, and all I can say is I was pleasantly surprised.

Another nice bonus is that even if you decide to return the program and take advantage of the two month money-back guarantee, you are allowed to keep the bonus materials.

The information and techniques set out in Easy Cat Secrets should be easy for you to use no matter the breed or age of your cat. Will you be as impressed with the information and cat obedience training secrets as I am? You will not know until you see for yourself.

The author uses ClickBank.com to distribute her book, so if you are unsatisfied in any way with any of the products that ClickBank distribute then they make a full (nothing taken off for processing etc.) refund within 8 weeks of your order. I have ordered many products through them and can confirm that they do indeed honor their guarantee and without making things difficult. Easy Cat Secrets by Liz Barton.

Over all, I'm very impressed with this ebook. Its title is completely accurate - Easy Cat Secrets. If you want or need your cat to behave a little better then you will reference this ebook many times. It is a valuable and concise resource on how to properly get what you want out of your cat and improve both your and the cat's quality of life.
